Professional photographers based in San Francisco, Eszter & David shoot astonishing photographs that give families, locations, vacations and celebrations superstar treatment. The shoots can last several days and are meticulously researched and planned – some with lighting, location, crew and stories arrange in advance, others unobtrusively shot within a family. That Book is the final output of all this creativity – a single, unique, totally bespoke memento of a precious moment in time.
With a one-off book there’s no margin for error and nowhere to hide. Metallic papers, colour printing, die-cutting, foil blocking, acetates, throw-outs, postcards and giclée prints all play their part. But our greatest challenge came from the client’s request that the book be ‘bound in water’! That Book is made to be read time and time again – developing innovative new durable methods of binding was another key challenge.
