In Promise, Sean Palfrey has curated a sensitive and thought-provoking collection of images of children and young people, drawn from a photographic archive amassed over decades as a pediatric doctor and healthcare professional.
Within this book you’ll encounter the guileless grace of a preschooler; the self-possession of a teenage refugee; the smile of a young girl who has survived adversity; and, threaded throughout, reflections on the pleasure of play and the exuberance of our early years.
Alongside his passion for photography, Sean Palfrey has had an illustrious career as a paediatrician, dean at Harvard University, parent, and advocate for national and global child health programs and policies.
