In this book – the sixth and final volume in the Sean Palfrey Photography Series – the author has chosen some of his favourite images: an Indonesian fishing boat at rest on a sandy beach in the glow of dusk; a tangle of leaves that look, for a second, like the bared teeth of a fearsome beast; a bright and joyful children’s mural, replete with birds and rainbows; and the grey-blue and apricot tints of a canyon wall, scoured by time and weather.
This book is a mosaic, with images of animals, trees and plants, landscapes both stark and beautiful, and portraits, too, all of them gathered over a lifetime of travel and a close engagement with the people and places of our diverse planet.
